BOXmover stands for production-oriented design of steel edge-welded frames. Our mission is to provide innovative and cost-efficient manufacturing solutions for individual and series orders. By using the latest technologies and AI-supported production optimization, we offer seamless integration into a wide variety of production environments.

BOXmover’s production-oriented design process is based on the fact that the machines for the manufacturing process are already taken into account in the planning phase, including the tools to be used, and the design follows the manufacturing possibilities.

The designs supported by BOXmover make it possible to manufacture products with consistent quality regardless of the batch size – whether 100 identical products or 100 individual orders, as the only thing that matters is the correct machine operation and the contract manufacturer does not need to know anything about the product. This makes us the ideal partner for customer-oriented projects with the same cost efficiency as in series production.

Our AI-based solution optimizes the welding process by reducing welding distortion and fixture requirements by up to 90%. The use of robotic welding and the implementation of a digital twin ensure precise and repeatable processes without relying on manual intervention. Our plugging and bolting system minimizes the use of expensive fixtures, making frame production in Europe competitive again.

Unique selling point in mobuldar freight wagon construction

Modular production and modular approval:
The “BaseFrame” freight wagon frame is always the same for each wagon length (e.g.: 33ft / 40ft / 45ft) and fully approved according to TSI ISV, only the superstructures differ according to TSI §15b without losing or having to redo the approval. In order to place the fully specified freight wagon on the market, a TSI WAG 2020 procedure is used, which ideally only consists of a collection of certificates. (In the worst case, proof of deviation must be provided.)

Cost-effective production of the BaseFrame:
Thanks to the simple production process (laser cutting, sheet metal edges, plug & screw system, optional robot welding, dipping process for surfaces, assembly only with screw connections), proven technology from vehicle construction, it is possible to produce all components of the freight wagon in a decentralized manner.

Production scalable at will:
As practically no fixtures are required for the production of the BaseFrame and the superstructures, the steel construction is scalable and can be produced economically by different companies in different regions. All that is needed is the appropriate production equipment to manufacture the individual component. The component sizes are selected so that they can be transported using standard logistics equipment.

Final assembly possible in any railroad workshop:
All parts of the BaseFrame freight wagon are bolted during final assembly, meaning that final assembly is possible anywhere (with corresponding certification: ECM level 4). Thanks to the modular assembly process, assembly is possible in the workshops of the end customer or their contractual partners.
